I'm contemplating... I feel like leaving school... and head to NAFA to study music. I mean like, I don't like what I am studying now. It's so boring and dry. I know it's a very good course, but I'm not happy learning business... I'd rather study music, be a musician even though it is not a good source for me to find a rice bowl. I've been reading NAFA's site, about the access course on music, and i'm really interested in it. I really do wanna major in the Bb Bass Clarinet. This is what I read on NAFA's site:| What Careers Await You? |
| Administrator for Music School, Agent for Performers, Composer, Conductor, Concert Manager, Music Arranger, Music Director, Performer, Project Coordinator, Producer, Reviewer, Sound Engineer, Teacher, etc. |
| Over 200 diploma and degree students are supported by a distinguished international faculty, all of whom are music college graduates and experts in their own fields. In addition to weekly public performances in the Lee Foundation Theatre, our student soloists, ensembles and orchestras can be regularly heard in performance throughout Singapore. |
| Musically talented school leavers follow a specially planned pathway by joining a part-time Access Course to prepare for audition onto our full-time Diploma course and on to the BA (Hons) course (subject to the student making satisfactory progress). |
| Frequent visits are made by leading international artists to give masterclasses, workshops, lectures and specialist support. Our strong links with professional arts organisations within Singapore and developing relationships with renowned music conservatoires overseas enable us to maintain high international music standards. |
| Access Course |
| The Access Course is designed especially for secondary school leavers who have participated fully in their school’s CCA programme - Chinese Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, Choir and Ensembles etc, but may be lacking in formal qualifications. |
| The course runs from January each year and provides a bridge for suitable young musicians straight from secondary school to prepare them for full time study in music whether at NAFA or elsewhere. |
 | Instrumental Tuition (Principal Study) - Students will be placed with selected professional musicians for weekly individual lessons. These specialist tutors will help the student develop a strong and solid technique along with preparation of repertoire. | |
 | Music Appreciation - covers basic musical form, lives and works of leading composers and gives a timeline view of the development of western music history. | |
 | Music Theory & Aural Training - although many young musicians have good practical skills, many lack a formal music theory foundation. This short course will cover all basics and take the student to a NAFA based assessment based upon the requirements of ABRSM Grade V theory (which may also be taken externally by the student). | |
 | Choir & Ensembles - Students will be offered the chance to develop aural and music reading skills and an increased awareness in ensemble skills. | |
Maybe I should talk to Mr.Eric about this matter, since he's my conductor and the director at NAFA's music school. For once in my life, I am certain that this is what i really want...

I'VE SO HAD ENOUGH. I HATE BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP. WHY DO I ALWAYS END UP GETTING HURT. IS EVERY PERSON I MEET A MISTAKE? OR AM I THE MISTAKE? MY TEARS ARE LIKE ROLLING DOWN RIGHT NOW... SHINO, WHAT IS IT WITH YOU? I JUST HAVE THE FEELING THAT YOU'RE SEEING SOMEONE BEHIND MY BACK. EVEN IF IT IS SO, JUST TELL ME. I CAN ACCEPT IT. IF YOU KEEP AVOIDING MY CALLS, IGNORING MY SMSES... IT WON'T DO ANY GOOD EITHER. TO THINK I CARED SO MUCH FOR YOU.
REMEMBER THE TIME WHEN YOU FAINTED WHEN YOU WERE OUT WITH YOUR FRIENDS? I WAS REALLY WORRIED WHEN YOUR FRIEND TOLD ME THAT YOU FAINTED? WHY YOU FAINTED? COS YOU WANNA SAVE UP TO BUY A CONVERSE SHOE?! YOU SKIPPED YOUR MEALS JUST TO SAVE THAT LITTLE AMOUNT. I SCOLDED YOU, BUT I KNOW IT CAN'T BE HELPED.
THAT'S IT SHINO, I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR NONSENSE. I DUNNO WAD I SEE IN YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE. GOOD BYE!
